Ciao Bella!

Ciao everyone!!!!!
Thanks for all the emails Ive recieved over the past little while!!! :)
Anyways, so Im here in Italy (our first day in Rome) and I absolutely love it!!!
Venice was sooooo beautiful, with all the canals and bridges and gondolas, it was great!!!! And we stayed in like a campsite kind of thing, but we had our own little cabin, so that was cute!!! And we just really enjoyed Venice... did a lot of wandering around, shopping at the kiosks (the shops have soooo many amazing clothes, but Im unfortunately way to broke to buy them... kinda breaks my heart), checking out all the canals and bridges and just sitting by the ocean, it was beautiful!!! And, I got to feed some pigeons in the giant square in Venice, and it was soooo fun lol... I had one little pack of corn kernels and I actually had like hundreds of pigeons just swarm me, and they were all over my arms and even on my head!!! It was sooo crazy, but so incredibly fun! :) And dont even get me started with the food.... amazing!!!!! I have officially eaten the best pizza in the freaking world!!! It is soooo cheap, and the pieces are massive... one we had was very thin, but like twice the size of my face (thats one slice), and another one was like the size of my face, but like the width of a quater pouder, it was madness... and the pasta and gelato and the deli meats are out of this world... Im loving every minute of it!!! But the shops everywhere are so much fun, so thats great too....
So, then we took a train to Florence (or Firenze), and that was also another beautiful city... the weather sucked, but whatever. It has a gorgeous river though, with such beautiful mediterranean buildings lining it everywhere, so purtty!!!! And then we went to some amazing galleries and museums... saw the David, which was soooo cool, hes way bigger than I thought!!! And then we also went to a place called Pitti Palace, which had so much Renaissance art, and amazing archtecture, and rooms, and gardens, it was stunning!!!! So, again, I really enjoyed Florence!
And today, we trained to Roma... the single greatest city ever!!!! We just checked into our hostels )which, mom isnt as dodgey as it sounds, its quite nice actually, got our own private room, a great kitchen with tv to share, and a little bathroom which is kinda dodge, but not tragic... so weve done quite well on hostels so far!), and then we just wandered around... and let me tell you, it is the most beautiful city ever, and the ruins and history is just absolutely everywhere, I love it!!!!!! And, we did this like crazy, wear 3D glasses and earphones movie place... where we watched like a crazy horror story thing and it was soooooo scary, and youre in a moving theater, so you get thrown about, have wind on you and water at times, and even had elastic bands shot at my legs for effect, it was wicked cool, and then we did another one of the history of Rome, which was a really cool introduction to the city... we cant wait to go out tomorrow!!! And, were going to the Vatican tomorrow, because its Sunday, and then well just enjoy the city of Rome (p.s. so for the lack of these ', because I just only know found it on the keyboard... so if I've thrown in a à or ò or ° or ç, I'm sorry lol).
Anyways, so currently we have laundry on the go, finally, and then its off to bed, so hope all is well at home, take care, and I'll try to email from Greece somewhere, lol, lots of love, and miss you lots, xoxoxoxox

High Ropes Course!!!

Hey everyone!!! So, here are some of the pictures I took at the Willen Lake High Ropes Course... it was sooo much fun!!! It sure got my adrenaline pumping... but I didn't fall off once, so I'm quite proud!!! I would definitely recommend a place like this, if there is one around Victoria or wherever... it's quite cool! :)

The start of the course!

I jumped off that tower where
that person is by just holding
on to a bar... it was so high,
but so fun!!!

Part of the course.

Ya, that was rather challenging.

Pretty few of the lake... acutally,
I was reading on a map and there
is tons of cool stuff to do around
there, and it's really nice, plus
it's got a great restaurant/pub!

That was the fun part! :)

The course off in the distance.

On the ropes!

Waiting in line.

Katrin on the climbing wall!
That was probably the most
difficult part... it was so scary!
Zip-lining!!! That was the best
part!!! But then you smash into
a just net and I've got such bad
brusing on my arm now lol.

A cruise down the Thames and a visit to Greenwich.

The London Eye!!! (So excited
to go on that baby!)

Me, on the boat, waving hello.

A nice view of London from
the boat.

Ummm.. I believe this was
St. Paul's Cathedral... it was
a Cathedral nonetheless.

A crazy building on the banks
of the river!

The Lower of London.

Tower Bridge!!!

More of the Tower of London
area.

Pretty... I love boats.

Again! I can't wait for the ferry
home! :)

Some building.

A few from the massive hill
in Greenwich park.

Me, enjoying that view.

Me, where like all time is
timed from... if that makes sense.

East Latitude meets West.
I think.

Me and Kristin being idiots.
East, West, East, West, Ewest.

Pretty.

I love the weather here over tha past week too. Damn, Victoria rains 10x more than London!!

Jack the Ripper Tour!

Hey all!! So, last night, Katrin and I went on an amazing tour in London. We did the Jack the Ripper Tour and it was so cool! We were in the dodgest area of London, it actually scared the living begeezes out of me... but our tour guide was great, a young Jack the Ripper investigative reporter who's writing a book on it, and is the youngest female to be like a reporter on him! And she's down like magazine articles and news reports and interviews and stuff and has found things that other people haven't even looked at yet that have huge significance to the story, and we got to seem some cool rare stuff! It was great... so here are the pictures (ya they suck, but whatever) of things around the tour! So enjoy! :)

Where we met for the tour lol.

The street where one of
the victims was found!!! (Yes,
the actual street!)

Me foot and on the coblestones
that were actually there when
Jack the Ripper was alive!

An important chapel
to the community living
there in the late 1880's.

The pub where the last
victim was last seen.

And more inside... the outside
is still exactly the same, and the
inside still has some of the original
stuff!!

Ahhhh, so ya it was soooo cool. We learned how the people lived in this area of town, which sucked. The prostitutes (and there were 1800 of them and the population of the area was 8000. omg is all I've got to say) and other poor people in the area (which was predominately jewish in that time, but now is bangladeshi) would pay 4p a night to rent out coffins (yes, coffins) to sleep in... or they could pay 3p a night to stand up against a rope in a room and sleep that way. Ya, brutal. But we walked the streets we most of the victims lived or worked or drank. We saw some pretty gruesome photos, and some interesting articles. And ya, it was so great, and it was so educational!!

Anyways, have fun looking at these photos... and go research the Ripper himself if you want. It's quite interesting.

Bristol!!!

Hiya everyone!!! Sorry I haven't written in a while, but I've been crazy busy, and time has just been flying by! I leave for Italy in less than 2 weeks, ahhhh!!!!! Anyways, I hope you all have had a great week and weekend. It was such a beautiful weekend this weekend, nice and sunny and quite warm. So, on Saturday Katrin, Katie and I went to Bristol which is an amazingly gorgeous city in west England, and I absolutely loved it!!! And then on Sunday, Katrin and I took a boat cruise down the Thames and went to a great little area called Greenwich, where we went to some markets and to a really nice park! It was such a great weekend... but anyways, here are the pictures I took in Bristol, and I'll post the pictures from Sunday sometime this week, but enjoy these for now, take care, xoxox

Broadmead!!! :)

Oh ya, they had a chess
tournament lol. It was quite a
big deal too... music, games, and
rides... plus amazing doughnuts
like the ones at Saanichton fair! Yum.

A little castle thing.

Me, with this crazy pineapple
thing in this cool mote thing by
this cool church thing. :)

An old church... it's more
ruins now... well, on the inside
it is.

Me, at the church.
A crazy castle wall thing, with
a fun bridge!
Me and Katrin being stupid.
Yay, we can touch!
(That was hard!)
Smelling the blossoms...
I LOVE spring time!
Katrin and Katie in the crazy
stair fountains, which are in
the beautiful harbour... it
reminded my of good ol' Vic.
Pirate ship!! Apparently, Bristol
was quite the pirate port back
in the day.
On the river/harbour boat
cruise.
Crazy coloured houses.
Me and Katie on the boat. :)
Katrin and I eating out popsicles
(from an ice cream truck!) in this
beautiful square by this crazy
fountain-type thing.
Pretty!!
I love this!
Me 'holding' this giant globe!
Me and the dude who founded
Newfoundland.
The cathedral (which I
think bears a striking
resemblance to the Bath
Cathedral!)
Me, in an archway by
the cathedral.
Pretty flowers.
My mosaic that I made at the
museum! :) lol.
Me and a fountain!!
Walking through a cementary.
lol. It was pretty though.
I love spring!
Bristol was so hilly, so it had
gorgeous views walking through
the more residential areas.
Cool houses (with amazing
views).
Me, climbing the giant hill.
Resting lol.
Yup. The suspension bridge.
It was gorgeous!
The little castle on the top of
the big hill.
Views from the top.
Cool like pathway down.
From the bridge!!! Love.
