Hola!

Well, we made it through that brutal 12 hour bus ride all over Spain to arrive here in Sevilla! But I suppose it was worth it as Sevilla is by far my favorite Spanish city! So, we arrived on the 27th at around 10:00 at night to find ourselves trying to communicate to the very Spanish receptionist of our hotel, that was good fun! But we survived, and now have a great room with two comfy beds and our own bathroom. I´m telling you, it´s luxury! So, yesterday and today was spent doing much the same, basking in the 20 degree heat and sun, lounging around the beautiful river with our cups of caramelo gelato, wandering all over the city checking out the beautiful old buildings, parks, fountains, squares, shops, you name it! Sevilla is great though, we love the little cobblestone streets everywhere, and the palm trees and orange trees everywhere sure make it pretty... and there´s no dodgy street in sight! It´s great! But ya, tomorrow we headed off to Paris, back to the cold, which I´m kind of dreading, but hey, it´s Paris, so it will be great! We´re going to go to the Louvre, eat tons and tons of croissants, baguettes, cheese, wine, crepes, ohhhhhhh it´s going to rock! And then we´ll do a hop on hop off bus tour to see all the amazing sights Paris has to offer, then party it up in some sqaure, probably near the Eiffel Tour on New Years Eve, possibly hit up some clubs, and watch the fireworks! Yay, and then obviously, I´ll try to do some shopping, because up until now, I´m sure you´ll be surprised, but I really haven´t boughten anything, it´s to expensive, so hopefully I will buy something, and then finally, we´ll be going to Disneyland Paris! Yay, and then it´s back to jolly old England, where Amanda will be staying with me, we´ll be cooking fantastic meals, going to London pretty much everyday to go to the Ice Bar, see Chicago, and do some other fun stuff! But, I´ll try to either get an internet cafe in Paris or London as I won´t have access to my computers at school until Jan. 9, and that´s when I will start the brutally long process of uploading all my pictures for you all to see! Anywho, I better run, so have a fabulous New Years, miss you all, lots of love, xoxoxoxooxox

Kel.

p.s. Amanda and I have been planning all sorts of crazy stuff to do when we get home, I´m really looking forward to it, but a lot of it will be so little for you all, but huge for me! Don´t take anything for granted!

Sorry, I only speak English...

seems to be the most commonly used phrase in my vocabulary! People seem to think that Amanda and I are some extremely knowlegdable people that might be able to help give them directions or money... but the funny thing is, we're broke and don't understand a word they're talking about! Good times.... so, anyways, I'm enjoying my time here in Spain. Barcelona was awesome, and Valencia has been great, minus the fact that when we tried to book our bus to Seville no one would serve us because no one spoke English, oh how I'm regretting not taking Spanish in High School now! But, we got it sorted out after we came back to the hostel and got the receptionist to write them a little note telling them what we want!! Oh good times, it should suck tomorrow though, as our all-Spanish bus leaves at 10:00 and arrives in Seville at 9:30, after like 10 different stops all over Spain... I'm a little scared, I just hope they don't leave without us when I run to the loo! Oh, and another thing I'm looking forward to when I get back to London, or even France when I can at least attempt french, is knowing what the labels say on food. So, ya, we tried to make some tacos today, it was all good, we found most things we wanted, but now, after eating them, we're thinking our 'beef' isn't so much beef, as what we're thinking is a mixture of chicken and pork, but who knows, they eat rabbits here, so I'm kinda scared... but we washed it all away with a tub of Haagen Daaz caramel ice cream that cost us a pretty penny, but was very much worth it! But ya, other than that, we've been laying pretty low, yesterday we spent roaming the city and checking out some markets, today we did a little sightseeing, but nothing much, and tomorrow it's off to Seville to bask in the sun before we head to the sub-zero temperatures of Paris... I'm so so so looking forward to Paris and New Years, but I'm really enjoying this 17 degree weather here in Spain... Anyways, I better head off as my pay way to much for internet is running low, so I hope you all had a great Christmas, feel free to email me and let me know how it was and what you got, I'd love to hear about it, I miss you all like crazy, lots of love, xoxoxoxoxo

Barcelona is a gongshow!

Alright.... so from the lack of sightseeing I've accomplished in this city I've managed to see a bunch of random crap! It's been highly amusing, I must say... so yesterday, we didn't do to much. We enjoy just wandering around the city, and we finally made it to the main street called Las Ramblas, which was got to be the wierdest street ever!!! So, it's sort of like the harbour in the summer, it's lined with kiosks for at least 2 kms! But there's something special about this street, sure there are kiosk of jewellery and souvenirs and all that stuff, some nice flower kiosks and wicked amazing portrait artists, and then you get those crazy street performers, tons of the painted guys, 10 times more creepy and random than the ones at home, there was mickey mouse making balloon animals, an Edward Scissors Hand dude, some man dressed up as a woman gypsy thing on stilts doing some crazy thing with a ball, god it's crazy! But the wierdest thing, is they have like make-shift pet shops set up, at least 15 of them, and they're soooooo random, we saw everything, they have bunnies, some smaller than my hand, hamsters, ferrets, chinchillas, guinea pigs, mice, degus, frogs, turtles, iguanas, geckos, pythons, tarantulas,
scorpions, tortoises(!), birds of all kind, some going for more than $2000, chickens. turkeys, pigeons (which is wierd because they're everywhere), and the wierdest of them all, baby crocodiles!!! Like what is going one? One, who is going to buy a baby crocodile, and two, who's going to want a tortoises that is going to out live you 2 fold? Hahaha, it's a wierd wierd city! But I quite enjoy it, found this amazing gelato place and apples the size of my hand, hahaha, I'm so easily amused, and also we made it down to the beach and I swear it was a hurricane, the waves were absolutely insane, like 20 feet, I watched them forever and the 2 people surfing I swear were on some sort of drugs to want to do that!!! Madness is all I can say. And it's also fun when you get hit on my crazy spanish guys who for some reason can't seem to figure out I know not one word of spanish... gooooood times! Anyways, I better head back out there in the 12 degree weather, I'm truly enjoying it, better than the subzero temperatures of Scotland, and the next city will be warmer and the next even better! Hooray, so ya I really should get going, we've got to figure out how the heck we are going to get to Valencia, hopefully there is a cheap bus or train, but who knows, lol, we're far to disorganized for that. Anyways, it's Christmas Eve Eve, but I wouldn't know, feels nothing like Christmas, especially when family isn't around, so I'm quite glad it doesn't feel like it, but I wish you all the best, enjoy the holidays and hopefully I will hear from you soon, lots of love, xoxoxoxoxoxox, miss you all,

Kel.

Hey everyone!!!

Hola!! Hope you are all doing well. I arrived here in Barcelona yesterday afternoon after an amazing trip to Scotland. So far, I absolutely love Barcelona, it's such a beautiful city and there's actually palm trees here! Yay, and it's much warmer than the negatives in Scotland we were experiencing, so that's a welcome change! Anyways, so today we are going to check out the beach and do some shopping, maybe something else, I don't know, and tomorrow is probably going to be spent on the main road Las Ramblas, which is supposed to be incredible, and sightseeing of course, but enough of that, back to Scotland! So, I would totally recommend going there, Edinburgh was one of the most incredible cities I've seen, it was sooooo pretty! So, I lived in a big, but shitty, but good location flat (for free, don't ask, to long to explain), with Amanda, Katrin, and three Paraguans, being Maria, Tuti, and Cindy. It was good fun, and I sure enjoyed the cable TV, a little to much I think, but hey, I've been deprived of all TV for far too long! But ya, so we got to go on this incredible tour driving through the snow-capped mountains in the Scottish Highlands, and it was sooooo beautiful! And that took us up near Inverness (northern Scotland), to Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle! Loch Ness was stunning, and massive, and we got to take a boat tour on it, so that was cool, didn't see Nessie, but I believe in her considering the size of this thing! And Urquhart Castle was right on the coast of Loch Ness and that was really really cool to check out! We also got to visit Edinburgh Castle, which was great because it's so old, so it was just neat to check everything out there! Other things we did including, going skating on an outdoor rink, which was so much fun, even though I've lost whatever talent I had in skating, doing lots of shopping, going to the Royal Museum, which was tons of fun, it had tons of different exhibits, like animals, egypt, 1900s, and a Science World-esque place, which was loads of fun, so I lifted my weight, checked my reflexes, played with robots, and drove a race car! Lol, good stuff! Also, we went to a "German" Market, which was awesome, I had some mulled wine (YUM) and chocolate covered strawberries! And there was a winter carnival in the city which was really great too, went on a big slide, a giant ferris wheel and a yo yo swing ride thing! And we also climbed a mountain, ya, a mountain, lol, it was huge, but fun! And other than that it was just a lot of wandering the city and checking things out, it was great!!!! Anyways, I better get going so I can head off to the beach! Hope you enjoy the holidays, love you lots and miss you all, xoxoxoxoxo

Christmas party

I was 'Mulan.' haha

Hah. Tiff showing us her
beautiful hair! lol.

Kristin.

Schmiga.

Tiff taking out her hair, with
Kate and someone's wig
watching on... lol.

Tiff and I think Iga... it's hard
to tell!

Iga and Prue!

Dancing with the Ruspini kids.

Kristin trying to open the
bottle of wine, which I eventually
opened after about 10 minutes
of trying and Kate having a
paranoid fear I would break a
window or kill someone... it
was entertaining nonetheless.

'Draw your character blindfolded'
lol... some wicked drawings in there!

Kristin the 'flower from Alice
in Wonderland' and Prue as
Peter Pan! lol.

Some of the Ruspini girls.

Mickey Mouse the Housemistress.

And, the assistant Housemistress lol.

So, the houses all had Christmas parties on Saturday night... so we migrated from house to house checking them all out... Livia and Jelena attended the Oscar Night Moira House party because they work there, Katrin and Iga attended the Hollywood-ish Atholl-Sussex House party, Tiff attended the 'Grease' Cumberland House party, and me, Kate, Prue, and Kristin were at the Disney Character Ruspini House party... so, ya it was fun, we ate food, drank, played games and danced... from about 6:00-10:00, then Kate, Katrin, Iga, Kristin, Tiff, and I all hung out in Katrin's flat listening to music and just talking until about 2 in the morning! So, it was a good weekend, earlier on Saturday I just did some shopping in the ville, and organized my mess of a life right now, same with today, lots of picture stuff, and hopefully I will begin to organize the trip I'm going on in 4 days and have no idea what I'm doing lol! But, also, this morning was my 'Christmas morning' where I opened all the gifts my family sent me... I got so much amazing stuff!!! I got a massager thing, that's going to save my life, a bunch of really nice clothes, a Victoria calender :), some pictures, some little things, Donna made me some nice snowman pjs, plus some Canada bottoms, which is great, and then... I also got Season 1 of Prison Break and Season 2 of Grey's Anatomy, which I am so so so excited to start watching tonight!!! Oh, I'm so happy!!! But, ya so it was actually really good... I wish I could be home for the holidays though, but I just know next year will be so fantastic!!!! So Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year!!! Enjoy being with your family and friends, and have a good time! I love you and miss you all, xoxoxoxox
