Wednesday!

Hey all... thought I'd post a quick post and see if this picture I've copied will show up on here... who knows! if it works, this is me having some fun with the crazy straws in Watford lol. But ya, today was fun, got to go swimming and help with the girls who weren't as good as the others lol, it was fun, they're quite cute! Still haven't been able to do my laundry!! Arg.. I'm going to have to go naked soon because I'm running out of clothes (believe it or not!). Tomorrow Kristin and I are off to the Midlands somewhere (about a three hour drive) for a field trip with Year 9... we're going to the Black Country Museum (I think it's like an old town and area where way back when there were coal mines and everything, it sounds quite cool from what I've read... possibly get to go down into a mine shaft and see how they worked... should be a fun, but exhausting day...). I'm hitting the sack early tonight because I'v got to get up far to early for comfort, and then on friday I work, then off to Winchester!! So I will probably post tomorrow, but not for the whole weekend... well maybe Sunday, but hopefully my camera will arrive shortly!!! Take care, miss you all lots, xoxoxox

It's Tuesday!

Hey everyone! So how are you all? Hope you're doing well! I'm doing pretty good... mama bought me a new camera and is going to ship it to me soon, so I should have a working camera by next week!! Hooray! But ya, still going to visit Amanda in Winchester this weekend... we are getting a new volunteer at the school... not through GAP but doing the same stuff... she's from France and 22 years old... so maybe I will improve me french lol! I have just been super busy lately trying to plan all our travels and when I am going to come home... turns out I have way more holidays during the year then I thought, so I should be home in mid-July, I'd say! So yay, I'm excited about that! Just planned out Germany... well sort of... we're going to hit up Berlin and Munich, and then go to Vienna! And ya, but I better keep this short, lots of research to do, then watching a movie with the girls on our new tv in the common room! Ohhh how exciting! So take care, miss you all, love xoxoxoxox

Bubble gum sauce

Hey everyone!!! How are you all?? Hope all is well... I'd love some emails to hear how you are all doing and how life is treating you over there!!! Life here is very very good... but I miss home a heck of a lot... but it's just so great that all the other GAPpers here are so great and that we get along so well! So, Amanda came this weekend, she arrived on Friday at around 6:00... we went to the Penny V in Ricky for some dinner, and then we spent the rest of the night relaxing and hanging out with the others in the common room... just playing some games and watching tv. On Saturday, Amanda and I, and Livia, and her friend Andrea (a GAPper from Mexico City working in Norwich), went touring all around London, we got to see a whole lot in just one day!!! It was absolutely incredible though... and it was just a beautiful day! I love London, it's just breathtaking... I swear! But, we got to see Big Ben, the Parliament, the Thames River, the London Eye, Westerminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, the London Bridge, the London Tower, and so, so much more! It was lots of fun. Oh, but it was so much fun because at lunch we decided to go to Pizza Hut. So... we decided to try the 'Feast for Four' meal option for only 5 pounds each (or just over 10 dollars)... and included in this meal was... a large 2 topping pizza, a medium 2 topping pizza, a plate of nachos, a plate of potato wedges, 4 garlic bread, 4 cheesy wraps, plus cheesecake, chocolate fudge cake, 2 (unlimited refills) bowls of ice cream with everything imaginable on them (bubble gum sauce... seriously, it was the sickest thing ever!!), but needless to say we were all going to pass out by the end of that! lol... it was lots of fun though!!! I have plenty of pictures to document this outstanding day too... lol... but all the pictures we took were on Amanda's camera because I still don't have one, so I will get all the pictures next weekend when I go to Winchester to visit her, and I should be able to post them up sometime early next week... and hopefully I will have a brand new camera by that point too! And ya, so we got back from London at 8:00... then we all went to Watford to go to some clubs and bars to celebrate Kristin's birthday, and that was tons of fun!! We got to meet tons of nice people too... met a guy from Watford, an Australian, and an American, plus a lot more! But it was a great day on Saturday... today we just slept in, then went to brunch and Amanda and I went on a good long walk around campus and to the Aquadrome... it was beautiful today to so it's great... see that's the one difference about Ricky and Victoria. In Ricky (so far), the weather sucks during the week when I'm working (so I don't really care), but is great and sunny on the weekend, every weekend! It works out quite well! But I better get going now, I have a lot of research, and booking, and looking at flights and hostels and whatnot to do... it turns out I have a lot more holidays during the year than I thought, so I might be coming home earlier than expected... maybe though, gotta double check the schedule!!! It is looking really good for travelling though... but I will let you know all the updates! So take care, be well, I miss you all lots, lots of love,

It's friday! Horray!! :)

Hey everyone... so I just finished work (got off a half hour early today... god I love Ms.BP). Today was pretty good... I got a good night's rest because I went to bed at 9:30... lol... that doesn't happen to often! And work today was good fun... it was a horrible day though... just pouring down rain, and there was some thunder and lightning at around 3... and I was in a class with a bunch of year 7's... you can imagine what that's like!!! Hah. But it's so wierd because I always think someone is taking a picture and then you hear the thunder and you are like.. oh. Hahaha, but ya now I am just going to get ready and then pick Amanda up at the train station... gonna hang out with all the girls tonight in the Zetland common room, or maybe go to the Penny V in Ricky... tomorrow we are probably going into Rickmansworth in the morning, London in the afternoon, and Watford at night... it's going to be a crazy day... so probably no post tomorrow but I will do my best to post on Sunday... and hopefully I will get a new camera this week (keep your fingers crossed)... anyways I better get going, love you all tons and miss you lots... xoxoxox

Almost at the weekend...

Well hey everyone!!! It's thursday!! Hope all is well in the lives of all the bestest Victorians... things over here are pretty good... work today was the same old same old... but it was nice and sunny so that was cool!!! Amanda is going to come visit tomorrow for the whole weekend, so it should be good.. Kate is probably going to take a few of us into London on Saturday to show us around, do some cheap shopping, go to a gallery or something, I don't know, but that's the plan for now... and Saturday night we should be going to Watford to go to the clubs and have a good time for Kristin's birthday... but we all know who isn't going to go crazy and dance.. me!!! Still haven't changed much, lol, more responisble if anything, which reminds me, I gotta make this quick, have the laundry just calling my name!! Whoo. But ya, and on Sunday I will probably take Amanda into Ricky, show her around, go to the Aquadrone again, and just catch up on everything! But that's it for now, I'm so glad tomorrow is friday!!! It's Wednesday!

Hey everyone!!! Hope all is well... well another fairly boring today today... not much to report... went to work... started off in textiles, helped with swimming for post of the day (which pretty much means all I did is time them) and then I finished off the day in DT... after work I ran down to Rickmansworth (or 'Ricky') and bought some food... and other things and figured out that no one can fix my camera so I am going to have to find a camera shop at some point and buy a new one!! Sucky... but what can ya do? Anyways, now I'm off to do laundry and clean my flat (exciting eh?)... but then all the girls are going to watch friends.. so that should be fun... but today I also got brand new curtains and blanket covers for some chairs in my flat plus all new pots and pans, and utensils and mugs and plates and all sorts of things, so that's exciting but now I am left with 5 large garbage bags full of crap!!! ugh... lame, but busy night, anywho, I will talk to you all later, take care, lots of love, xoxoxoxox

Wow, I managed to stay off the computers for a whole day!! Aren't you proud? But it sucked... so not much more of that to come! ;) Anyways, how are you all?? Hope everything is going good at home. By the way, all the girls here set up a photobucket website, so you can see all our photos at that one site, and our username is: gapgirls2006... haven't checked it out yet myself so I don't know how you can see them, but you can somehow... I'll look into it now... there probably aren't any pictures up now, maybe in a few days... plus you can check out Katrin's blog at http://gap06uk.blogspot.com for some more pictures!!! Anyways, so yesterday was pretty good for a monday... worked a bit, which was to bad, just more random jobs.. then we registered with the doctor finally but filled in the forms wrong.. wooo, so we had to do that twice!! To stupid!! And then we went out for dinner because we missed tea, but had a good meal for £4... so under 10 dollars which was awesome! Then we all hung out in our brand new common room (a small room just for the gappers in Atholl-Sussex house with two couches, and a tv/vcr/dvd player)... and watching What Women Want... tonight we are going to watch some tv in there and play some cards!! On weekends we get to use the girl's common room in Zetland because that house is only for weekly boarders, so no one is there from friday at about 6 to sunday around 6 as well... so that's cool because we have the whole house to ourself and the common room is massive... with tons of chairs, pillows and couches, a tv/vcr/dvd player plus lots of dvds... and a pool table and a piano! So that's fun... just as fun as raiding their kitchen and eating all the biscuits!!! :)... Today at work was pretty good as well... just random stuff again... and now I have been on the computers for the last 2 hours.. ugh, these stupid things block hotmail and make it twice as long to email someone than it should!!! Sooo annoying... but ya I guess that's it for now, so I hope you are all well, take care, I miss everyone lots, xoxoxoxo

Hi everyone!!!! How's everything going back at home??? You have to bare with me here... I'm trying to narrate all the pictures... and I know they aren't in the right places and I can't seem to figure that out... so after every period is when I am talking about the next picture... so just go in order... sorry about that... this thing is so stupid!!! But anyways, yesterday night most of the girls went into to Watford... and stupidest thing ever... when we tried to get into a club, they wouldn't let us in because we were wearing runners!!! Now, how stupid is that??? We were sooo angry... considering we taxied there for like 5 bucks each way!!! Arg... but nonetheless we had a pretty good time.. we just sat in a little pizzeria watching all the crazy people... chatting and drinking some coffee and stuff!!! So it was pretty good... and today was an absolute gorgeous day... about 25 degress and sunny... so Livia, Iga, and I went on a 2 hour walk into town, all over... and we went to the Aquadrone.. which is like a whole bunch of lakes, not to swim, but to water ski, windsurf, sail, kayak, go boating, fishing, all sorts of cool things... it was sooo beautiful, and I couldn't take any pictures for you guys because of my stupid camera!!! :( But hopefully I can get that fixed soon, because it sucks not having one!!! But anyways, so at some point this year we are going to rent some kayaks and go through the canals and lakes and everything, and possibly take a boat tour around there!!! Should be fun! Hey everyone!! How are you all? I assume very busy considering the lack of emails!!! :( Tear... I'm doing pretty good over here... the first week of work is behind me... it was fine!!! Just boring, secretary-type work! But it's pretty good!!! Kristin, Jelena, and I went to London today... it was fun... only for a few hours because we slept in lots!!! Just did some shopping around, went to a cool Internation Market Place.... it was neat... I only bought a cell phone!! That's it... I know I'm so proud! But it is so freaking busy in London that it's ridicilous... and you can't move... so I wasn't exactly in the mood to shop... or wait in the changeroom line for an hour... then the checkout line for another hour!!! LOL... but ya it was cool... didn't do any site seeing because we didn't really have time... Amanda, Madison and I will when we go and stay the weekend at the end of the month hopefully!!! But I better get going, because we are all going to Watford (the biggest city nearby... about 5 miles) to go the the pub or club or something! I don't know... so that should be fun! Anywho.. I hope you are all well... and hopefully I will hear from you soon!!! Miss you all and love you lots...

Hey everyone!! How are you all?? So, it's friday! YAY! Today was a pretty good day... I worked from 8ish to about 2... I got off early because the teacher I was supposed to be with from 2-4:30 wasn't there... so I took a huge long walk all around the campus and took lots of pictures for you all to see!!! It was sooo nice... it was sunny and warm... but a little windy, which I love so I was quite content!!! And, I just finished tea, I'm going to be on the computers for a little while now, then off to do laundry and watch tv for the first time in almost two weeks... a lot of the gappers are going to hang out and watch movies tonight in the Zetland common room, because Zetland is for week boarders, so it's empty on weekends, which is great for us!!! And ya who knows what else we will get up too!! Tomorrow, Kristin, Jelena and I are heading off to London for the day to do some shopping and site seeing... so more pictures to come! ;) But, I'm really excited for that, it should be fun, and then we are all going to go to the pub tomorrow night, and the 'church' on Sunday afternoon... which is like a disco in the middle of the day! Hey Everyone... so here I am again... posting... what else is new??? Anyways, today was rather simple and boring, but omg, hugest thunder and lightening storm last night!! I was so scared... and my flat does nothing to keep noise out! It was soooo bloody loud, and it was pouring down rain and like every minute a big flash would come into the room... it was cool, but scary because I was all alone, and I didn't get like any sleep last night!! Arg... but today was just another working day...nothing exciting occured... tomorrow is friday!! Yay... that means that it's the weekend! Whoo... and I get to go to London! :D And shop... lots.!.
