Dachau Concentration Camp

Okay, so here are the pictures from Dachau, I know they are really depressing, but it's just something everyone has to be aware of... it was an incredible experience for me.

1. The beds they slept in... I think in one bunker they had enough to sleep over 200 men, but there was close 500 near the end. The people on the top bunks were usually friends with people who got to choose where everyone slept, because the people on the bottom often died more easily because of bodily fluids leaking on them and infecting them... pleasant, I know.
2. A memorial to the victims... this was done by one of the surviving prisoners of Dachau.
3. This was the drain in the 'Shower Room.' They told the prisoners they were going to take showers, but instead of water coming out it was gas... they had the drains so they could better dispose of fluids and whatnot, so the next group of prisoners wouldn't suspect anything.

6. A whip used to punish prisoners for as little things as not having there hat on when they were being counted... and often higher members would take the hats and through them in a no-go zone, where if you went you would get shot... and if you couldn't count to 25 in German, they would beat you until you died... and often there were 2 people with 2 whips to maximize the pain, but still only have 25 hits.
7. Actual personal things like I.D. and letters taken from the prisoners upon arrival... everything was stripped from them.

This was absolutely massive, I couldn't get it fit in 3 shots, let alone one... anyways, this is where they were counted everyday to make sure no one had escaped... sometimes this took 2 hours and once it took 27, meanwhile the prisoners had to stand there the whole time, looking down, legs together, and not moving.
11. The entrance to where we went and saw the bunkers, the crematorium, the museum, the churches, everything.

13. Old SS Headquaters or Schutzstaffel, which was a paramilitary organization for Hitler. They were really horrible, and committed a lot of atrocities in Nazi Germany.
