I heart Roma!!!
Hey everyone!!!
So, it's our last full day here in Rome, and it's been sooooo amazing!!!! Rome is by far my favorite city in all of Europe... aside from the creepy guys that quote "likea my shows" think I'm "good ice cream" and say "Ciao Bella" everywhere you go... plus all the people that shove knock offs in your face saying "you know how much? good price!" until you actually walk away... it's starting to just amuse me now.... but aside from that, it's awesome!!!! Ya, so went to mass with the Pope (ya, the actual Pope!!!) in Vatican, went to the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museum, and to Saint Peter's Basillica and climbed up 551 crazy steps (like circular, extra steep, extra long, extra skinny, and like leaning over) up to the top of this cupola thing, and the views were amazing!!!! And we also went to the Colosseum... WOW, and the Palatine which is King Augustus' old residence, which is like a country, it's massive, but those ruins and gardens were really pretty!!! And we've been to sooo many like absolutely breath taking churches, it's madness, and I have continued to stuff myself with pasta, pizza, and gelato (we found this great gelato place today on this island in the river... that was a giant waffle cone, and 3 scoops of any flavor... and they were good flavors, for only €2.50!!!), so hooray, and just 20 minutes earlier I polished off a great mushroom and ham pizza all to myself... yup, life's good! And we've also been enjoying our hostel... we've met two really nice guys from the States, so we hang out with them every night while watching Italian TV, which truly is entertaining.... and I've also been so not enjoying the beyonf painful attempts by Amanda to get the 100+ knots out of my back... and I'm serious, it's soooo gross, and so painful... we think I'm diseased... so ya, the other hostel tenants must enjoy my screaming at night... whoops... gotta love the hostel life...
Anyways, we're heading off to Athens tomorrow, so hope that goes well... we've got 5 days there and 5 in Crete, and then it's back to England...
